Dietitian, Nutritionist, RD, P.Dt
Food has always been a big part of my life and the centre of all of my family celebrations. I went into this field to learn how to best balance a healthy lifestyle while not completely giving up on my sweet tooth. Eating doesn’t have to be stressful or boring to have a positive impact on your health. It can be fun and exciting! I truly believe in an “all foods fit” approach, and that restricting yourself from foods that you love will only make you unhappy and ultimately have negative effects on your health.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. Throughout the last few years, I have worked in hospitals such as the Jewish General Hospital, The Royal Victoria Hospital, and the Montreal Neurological Hospital. I have helped patients with medical conditions manage their symptoms and treat them using nutrition. I have developed expertise and passion doing whatever I can to help patients heal and thrive. This field is something I love and appreciate, as it has taught me so much about myself and the type of dietitian that I want to be.
At the same time, I have spent time working with clients one-on-one to help tailor their diets to allow them to feel their best. I have worked with all sorts of people, whether it be to help improve their relationship with food and disordered eating patterns, sustainable weight loss, manage blood sugar, lower their cholesterol, weight gain, digestive issues, and more. It is something that I love to do, and seeing positive results makes it all worth it.
Besides food, I love spending time with my family, travelling, exercising, reading and watching reality TV! I am so excited to learn more about you and what you love, and I am looking forward to helping you feel your best.
At Prizant Nutrition, we reject the idea of "good" or "bad" foods. Instead, we embrace the concept that all foods have a place in a balanced, healthy diet. We understand that each person's nutritional needs are unique, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach.
Our approach goes beyond fad diets and restrictive eating. We are dedicated to helping you establish a positive, long-lasting relationship with food and meet your nutrition goals. We're here to support you on your journey towards a healthier and happier you.
Congratulations, Amanda Prizant! Thank you, and all your colleagues at the Montreal Neuro, for the excellent work you do. Join us as we celebrate Nutrition Month in March and on March 20, Dietitian’s Day!
